"Restoration" is the second episode of the third season of The 48th Street Fellowship. It is the eighteenth episode of the series overall.

Plot[]

The Fellowship puts their plan into action as a malevolent force finally awakens.

Synopsis[]

James heads to Neverland Mall and finds a depressed Nick Mayes working at a shoestore, alongside his new colleague Layla, who ranks Nick's successes and failures at chatting up customers. Nick is pleased to see James, having not seen him in a while. Nick and James head over to the ice cream parlour, where James outlines the group's plan to restore their powers and that they need Nick - as an "honourary member" - to supervise. While hesitant, Nick accepts when James brings up the possibility of the Dark Lord returning. James tells him to meet up at Lover's Reach, the highest point in Dewberry, at midnight.

...

James hops over the fence and manages to avoid the security cameras, climbing to the top of the main pylon. With a final radio check, Ellie connects James and Michael before James grips the conductors. He instantly starts spasaming, while Michael screams in pain and falls to the floor. The plant managers think birds have landed on the power lines and up the power to scare them away. James' hands start burning and he begins to lose consciousness. Nick gets on the radio and offers encouragement to James, who awakens and grips the conductors even tighter. Ellie is about to pass out. Before she does, James's eyes glow blue, before he lets go of the conductors and begins levitating, the electricity entering his body. He screams as a blackout occurs across town, his powers restored. He summons a bolt of lighting and disappears. Ellie collapses, exhausted, and Michael continues writhing and screaming.

A small storm hovers over the woods where Max and Brooklyn wait. James suddenly descends, his powers fully restored. Ellie radios in and says she is ready to connect Max, but, hearing how exhausted she is, Max decides to withstand the pain himself. He sets his thumb alight as James launches lightning at him. Max falls to his knees and screams until his thumb goes out. Max tells James to stop and struggles to ignite his thumb. He hears Ellie's voice, who tells him to focus. This time, he ignites it with a single snap before James restarts. Finally, Max's hand ignites, the fire spreading up his arm. His left hand also ignites and he surrounds himself in fire. He smiles and hugs James.

Max radios Ellie and tells her his powers are back. She proceeds to link to Brooklyn as Max starts a wildfire. Under the influence of Ellie's mind, Brooklyn falls to her knees, screaming. Just as the fire goes out of control, Brooklyn's powers return and she blows away the fire, repairing the trees. She whistles and a flock of birds appears above her.

Back on the hillside, Michael continues convulsing. Nick helps him up, at which point Michael screams a powerful shockwave which envelops MJ. MJ is thrown away as Michael confirms his powers are back. Rose helps MJ up and asks if the plan worked. MJ doesn't answer and radios Max, telling him he can see him from the hillside. He jokingly asks if Max is attempting to grow a beard. Max, James and Brooklyn return to the hill and the Fellowship rejoices the return of their powers. James once again invites Nick to join their "kids club", and although he jokes Nick finally decides to join. James suddenly reveals Nick's barbed baseball bat, having kept it since the events of 1988.

Elsewhere, a man and a woman drive down a road at night. The man swerves to avoid a figure standing in the road and crashes into a ditch. The man gets out, shouting at the figure as to what they are doing standing in the middle of an unlit road. The figure turns and is revealed to be the twisted, deformed and now monstrous Lucas. He grabs the man by the throat and suddenly starts levitating upwards, lifting the man several stories into the air. Lucas looks him over, before dropping him. The man's body lands on the car, leaving his wife screaming. Lucas descends and approaches the wife, before a Wereworm emerges from the palm of his hand and over the woman's face.
